Mentoring – sharing working life experiences
In the Aalto University mentoring programme, alumni can mentor students, also referred to as actors. The experienced alumni, the mentors, and the actors share experiences, know-how and opinions during one year.
The goal of the mentoring programme is to attain professional and intellectual growth, clarify the career options of students and help them to excel in their studies. The mentors get the opportunity to develop as mentors and coaches, strengthen their working life skills and get insight into the ideas of young students. After participating in the programme, mentors often say that they got more out of the programme than they had expected.
