“Development is so swift these days that we cannot truthfully tell our students the type of profession they will graduate into in five years’ time. For this reason, it is important to teach not only in-depth expertise and skills but also broad-scoped expertise and skills. We want the Aaltonaut Bachelor’s Minor Programme to offer an opportunity for interdisciplinary study early on in a student's studies. However, first and second year Bachelor's students often have full days with their own department's lectures. We have received a lot of positive feedback from students on organising the majority of courses outside of ‘normal’ study times, in the evenings, on the weekends and even as summer courses.”
